Victorian Multi-Gem Brooch C. 1870s

This sentimental brooch centers on a creamy cultured pearl with a gorgeous lustre and features heart-cut, multicolor gemstones aquamarine, garnet, peridot and light topaz. The deep, mysterious beauty of this array of stones is enhanced by an additional 1 carat total in open-back Rose-cut diamonds, graded G-J color and VS-SI clarity. This antique brooch was made by hand around the 1870s in 14 karat gold and silver, a mark of early Victorian jewelry. The entire top of the piece is detailed through and through, and its striking but delicate design eludes to crowned hearts, which signify loyalty and loving devotion. This one-of-a- kind token of affection was originally handcrafted as a brooch, with a secure pin-back at the reverse, but it could easily be converted to a pendant if desired. Please inquire here.
