Midcentury 1.15 Carat Recut Diamond Ring

Midcentury 1.15 Carat Recut Diamond Ring

This solitaire, handmade circa 1950s in platinum with a 1.15 carat re-cut Modern Brilliant diamond, is all about timeless design! Just 10 years before, the 1940s were a pivotal decade for the diamond industry as it is when the rise of the Modern Brilliant really took off, thus making it the go-to cut of choice for the diamond rings of the mid-century era, and it remains the dominant cut of diamond to this day.

The 1.5 carat center diamond in this ring was re-cut from an Old Mine-cut diamond, and it is GIA Certified (Report # 5234140145) and graded J color and a clean VVS1 clarity. Two slightly-tapered baguettes on each side frame the diamond beautifully, followed by a knife-edge, comfortable shank. This vintage engagement diamond ring is currently a size 6 and easily resizable to your needs. Please inquire.
