This charming necklace from the earliest years of the 20th century has an acrostic message: Give Women Votes! The message is spelled out through color: green peridot for give, white pearl for women, and violet pink tourmaline for votes! More commonly amethyst was used for violet votes, though pink tourmaline was sometimes used as a more valuable and meaningful stone, as well as to express a more subtle support for the cause. This rare piece of history was made in England and set in 15k yellow gold. The necklace measures about 17 1/2 inches long and the drops measure about 1 inch long.
