A midcentury wristwatch with all the right retro details! This handsome timepiece is made by renowned Swiss watchmaker Longines in a 14k yellow gold tank-style case. From the angular lugs to the tapered markers, the skyscraper hands to the diamonds at 12, 3, and 9– each detail is simple on its own, yet all together give the piece extraordinary character! The recently restored mechanical movement runs beautifully and has a 1947 serial number, dating the watch to 1947 or 1948. This watch has a classic elegance that is easily dressed up or worn casually everyday. The lugs measure 17mm while the case is 22.5mm wide and 28mm long with a face that measures 19.5mm wide and 22mm long. The case is about 8mm thick. The genuine crocodile strap is an attractive medium grey and has very light wear. Although we thought it too beautiful to replace right away, we can change it to a new strap of any color or leather upon request.
