This antique pendant/brooch, handmade in the Edwardian era circa 1910s and built in 14 karat yellow gold, centers a masterfully hand-carved coral cameo that is bordered by half a carat of dazzling Old European-cut diamonds in a meticulously-built frame with natural motifs. The craftsmanship associated with the gold work of this romantic era is nothing short of exceptional, and this piece is no exception. All of the leafy fronds that separate the 4 Old European-cut diamonds were individually built by hand, while the diamonds are uniformly matched and graded at G-K color and VS1 clarity. It was made with the utmost attention to detail in mind! This antique bauble measures 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1 and 1/3 inches wide, and it is complete with a secure pinback mechanism and a hinged bail so you can wear it as a necklace (designed as a fold-down bale that can be hidden). This is a high-relief, masterfully hand-carved cameo that comes out from the frame about 1/2 inch.
