Persian Turquoise Bangle c1910
Turquoise has a beautiful way of aging– it starts as a true sky blue then takes on a robin's egg hue and then finally becomes green! This remarkable gemstone can even become a deep, dark green given enough time! This gorgeous antique bangle exemplifies this perfectly, displaying different shades of Persian turquoise throughout. A flower cluster in the center features 7 buttercup prong-set stones flanked by a single, graduated row of stones on either side. The stones taper down to the tiniest size on each end, completing the row at the hinge and clasp. This bangle has a more elegant, refined look for the time, when bangles were typically wider and more elaborate in design. It's simple beauty and subtle pop of color make it an ideal everyday piece that stacks and styles beautifully with almost anything!
