This antique bracelet, which was built by hand during the 18th Century (pre 1790s) in France, is made in 925 Sterling Silver and adorned with red paste and a deep blue center stone. The star of the show and centerpiece of this multi-strand bracelet is its ornate clasp, meant to be worn and presumed at the front for all to see! It is decorated all over, with delicate cannetille and symmetrical granulation details, which help connect its 10 handmade chains while also providing an ingenious cover for its screw-in pin closure. When worn, the chains look like sort of a woven mesh! Though quite flat, this unique bracelet has a bold look, measuring 7 and 1/4 inches long by 2 and 1/4 inches wide, and it is stamped with several hallmarks.
It is a historied bracelet with an elaborate look that, once combined with airy filigree details, results in a perfectly balanced design!
