Starry-set rose-cut diamonds and raspberry red rubies in sweeping gold and silver– this Georgian inspired beauty is strewn with stunning details! In the 1930s, designs of the 19th century were all the rage. Portuguese jewelers met the demand by recreating Georgian and Victorian designs using the same antique methods. They were so meticulous that the reproductions are hard to tell apart from the originals and were sometimes sold as such! This exemplary handmade piece features five cabochon cut rubies, each weighing around a carat, and forty-one rose-cut diamonds that total well over a carat in total diamond weight. All are set in 18k yellow gold with an applied silver top. The chain is 14k yellow gold and measures 18 1/2 inches long. The centerpiece measures 1 5/8 inches by 1 1/4 inches.
