Sapphires glow like burning flames in these stunning gold earrings from the mid 20th century. The pear-cut yellow-orange sapphires total a carat weight of about 5.60, each weighing about 2.80 carats. They are set in 18k yellow gold and made by skilled jewelers in Italy sometime between the 1950s and 1970s. Their high-quality craftsmanship is apparent in their backings which feature hinged omega clips and posts fit for pierced ears. Each earring measures about 7/8 inch by 7/8 inch.
