Georgian Revival Garnet and Diamond Ring c1930

Georgian Revival Garnet and Diamond Ring c1930

Rose cut diamonds are set like twinkling stars around a deep red witchy garnet that looks like pure magic! Garnets are among the most highly light refractive gems, and although this one appears almost black at first glance, it exudes bright red flashes of light as it moves! Thirty-two rose cut diamonds are set into a silver top, most with six thick prongs that give them a star-like appearance. The rest of the ring is handmade 14k yellow gold. Mixing silver and gold was a popular method in the Georgian period of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, for which this ring is designed to emulate, though it was made over 100 years later in the 1930s. It is a statement ring with the top measuring 1 by 7/8 inches. The ring is currently a size 5 1/4 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
