It's rare to find handmade platinum past the 1950s, but Christian Bauer did not cut any corners in the 1970s! This ring could easily be mistaken for a 1920s platinum ring with all of its fine details and workmanship! The 1.55 carat re-cut modern brilliant diamond sits in a very regal, crown-like setting. As a re-cut diamond of the 1940s, it maintains it's old cut diamond charm, but sparkles with the radiance of a modern brilliant. It has a clarity of SI2 and a color grade of J, which improves vastly in natural light, as many old stones do. The shoulders and setting are beautifully accented by 28 diamonds, all encased in milgrain edges. The entire shank is finely carved all the way around and edged in milgrain as well. Currently a size 5 1/2, it may easily be re-sized upon request.
