Burmese Sapphire and Rose Cut Diamond Navette c1880
A navette of perfect proportions and the truest blue sapphires imaginable! If you've been deprived of this kind of beauty, navette is the term for rings of this long marquis shape from the late 19th century. It translates to "little turnip" in French! This one is notably spectacular for its untreated Burmese sapphires– among the most prized in the world. They are elegantly surrounded by eighteen fiery old mine cut diamonds, all of near colorless F-G grade and clean VS to SI clarity grades. The ring is handmade in a subtle 12k rose gold. It is the perfect size to catch the eye without being ostentatious, and its proportions are flattering on any finger! The top of the ring measures 7/8 inch long and 3/8 inch wide. The ring is currently a size 4 1/2 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
