This incredible piece exhibits the lost art of "table work" jewelry made in the 1870's. Intricately woven human hair is used to create a web-like effect. This brooch is made of 12 karat gold with a rosy color. Each point is engraved with a flower motif, the woven hair is in exceptionally good condition. the base of this brooch has a jump-ring that probably held a portrait. The back is engraved "Emma Hunter". Pin measures 1 1/8 inches across at its widest point.
