Odd Fellows Sapphire and Diamond Dinner Ring c1900
Friendship, truth, and love– this is the motto of the 'Triple Link Fraternity' known formally as the International Order of Odd Fellows. This ring certainly belonged to a member of the centuries-old organization, perhaps first as a pin and then converted to a ring for or by an honored wife, daughter, or female member. One of the principles of the organization is anti-discrimination and as such was the first 'brotherhood' to honor women as members in 1851. This piece was made around 1900 in 18k yellow gold with white gold tops around the diamonds. Rose-cut diamonds glitter throughout the outer rings while calibrated sapphires adorn the central link. A soft golden pearl balances the ring in the very center between old mine cut diamonds above and below in their respective rings. This ring is spectacular and universal in its beauty and message, suitable for anyone with good taste! The ring is currently a size 6 1/2 and may be resized easily, up or down, upon request.
