Handmade in 18k yellow gold, around one carat in total weight of diamonds are set in silver tops, creating a two tone effect that allows the diamonds to shine brightly against white metal while the leaves have a warm golden glow. The pin's tube catch is certainly newer than the piece, which was originally made in the 1880s. This brooch was likely made in France.
