Art Deco Marquise-Cut Diamond & Sapphire Ring

Art Deco Marquise-Cut Diamond & Sapphire Ring

An Art Deco dream! This stunning 1920s marquise diamond ring encapsulates the most sought after characteristics of jazz age jewels: glittering glamour, cleanly delineated geometric design, hand-carved details in platinum, milgrain beaded edges, a spectacular, artfully-cut diamond centerpiece, and bespoke sapphires perfectly-fit to adorn the shoulders!

Its shining star is a 1.99 carat antique marquise cut diamond elegantly set vertically at its center. Its radiant, fiery sparkle seems to burst from the setting, yet it is set cleanly flush with a low profile. Its handmade platinum setting is etched with wheat-like details along the band, which splits in two at each shoulder and reaches towards the pointed ends of the marquise in a 'V' shape on either side, delineating the setting with an elegant taper that beautifully accentuates the diamond. The platinum is inlaid with a single row of diamonds that glitter along each of the shoulder's edges as milgrain beaded borders add a soft texture to the bright white metal. Genuine sapphires are custom-cut and calibrated to fill the entire triangular space created between the two edges, completing the ring with their midnight blue gleam.

This striking beauty makes an outstanding engagement or anniversary ring, and an unforgettable cocktail ring. Its refined glamour is as chic and captivating today as it was in the roaring twenties!
