Taxco Enamel Snake Bracelet C. 1940s

Taxco Enamel Snake Bracelet C. 1940s

A snake eating its tail that has no end – it is eternal. This notion makes the snake a powerful symbol of renewal and re-creation whose popularity has persisted throughout history. Snakes, with all their coils, also make a natural choice for a bracelet as it organically wraps around the wrist. This rare snake bracelet is exceptional for its expert enamel work in charming hues of green and red. It was constructed around the 1940s in Taxco, Mexico, and it is signed “MBV”. It has great movement all throughout and it can easily fit a wrist up to 6 and 3/4 inches.

This vintage snake bracelet is very similar to a Margot de Taxco design which sells for about $1,000+, making our snake bracelet a fabulous contender at a much lower price!
