Antique Diamond Tennis Bracelet
It wasn't until champion tennis star Chris Evert famously sported one on the tennis court in the 1980s that these easy-to-wear jewelry staples were coined as 'tennis bracelets'. Whether you call it an eternity, line or tennis bracelet, the implication is the same — these are forever, get-through-anything, wear-in-any-event heirlooms!
This antique tennis bracelet is set in platinum, one of the world's most durable metals, and it was handcrafted during the Art Deco era circa 1920s with 30 Transitional-cut diamonds which gradually decrease in size as you move towards the clasp. The biggest diamond, sitting at the center, weighs .55 carats, flanked by a diamond on each side weighing .42 carats and .45 carats respectively. The bracelet totals approximately 8 and a half carats in diamond weight, and each diamond is set within a square bezel and bordered with a double row of milgrain, resulting in this finely-crafted, highly-desirable piece. The finely-matched Transitional-cut diamonds boast a H-I color and VS-SI clarity grading, and 1 stone has been replaced to a Modern Brilliant-cut diamond. The bracelet is masterfully graduated, and it is no wonder this style is so highly valued, as its design gives it a light feel and flexibility that is comfortable enough to never need to take off. It sits ever-so-elegantly on the wrist, and thanks to its articulated panels it will flash sparkles with every one of your movements. The bracelet fastens with a seamless insert push-lock clasp, and it benefits from the additional security of a safety chain so you may enjoy it for decades to come.
