Names of loved ones are beautifully hand-engraved atop historic seated liberty half dime coins from the 19th century. The practice of engraving coins to keep as mementos for special events, milestones, or beloved people was prevalent in late Victorian era as it was often more accessible than having jewelry made. Often times family members would even engrave the coins themselves! The love tokens featured on this bracelet were more likely done by a professional judging by the fine type and embellishments. The silver seated liberty coins date from 1839 to 1877. The bracelet measures about 7 1/2 inches long and 1/4 inch wide while the tokens measure about 3/4 inch in diameter.
