Belle Epoque Diamond Pendant c1890
La Belle Époque, or the beautiful era (1871-1914), produced jewelry that was truly deserving of the namesake– and this is among the finest examples! Elegant curves and dynamic shapes characterize this stunning diamond pendant that dates back to around 1890. The diamond-studded shapes are beautifully complimented with open cut-outs that give the sizable pendant a light, airy quality. Despite its delicate, lacy design, it remains bold in its size, catching the eye on any chain it is paired with. The pendant is handmade in platinum and set with about 1.50 carats in total weight of near colorless G grade, VS clarity grade old mine cut diamonds. The center stone is about half a carat, a matching G color and SI1 clarity grade. The pendant measures about 1 7/8 inches by 1 inch. The chain pictured is sold separately and can be found here.
