Diamond and Pearl Drop Earrings c1930
Pearls are full of meaning, often symbolizing the fidelity, purity, and integrity of the wearer– it is no wonder why they are the gem of choice for weddings! Paired with diamonds, the 'forever' stone, and set into elegant abstracted hearts, there is no end to the romance in these deco-era beauties. Sizable transitional cut diamonds glitter as the topmost centerpiece in each earring, each weighing around .60 carat with rare facetted girdles for extra brilliance. They boast E colorless grades and VS and SI clarity grades, respectively. Very fine 9mm Akoya cultured pearls, graded AA softly dangle from the glittering earrings, which have an additional 1.30 carats of diamonds throughout. Alternating baguette cut and full round cut stones create a dynamic play of light that sparkles vividly throughout. All have a near colorless F or G color grade and a clean VS clarity grade. Made around the 1930s in 14k white gold, these earrings are made to be cherished for many lifetimes. They were originally made to be clip-on earrings for unpierced ears, though a post was inexplicably added at some point to only one. We are happy to add a post to the other for pierced ears, or remove the post for unpierced ears, at no additional charge. Each earring measures 1 1/4 inches long and about 5/8 inch wide. Note: two of the baguette cut diamond have very small chips not noticeable to the naked eye.
