This mystical pair of moonstone and diamond earrings was made circa 1820s during the Georgian era, handmade in 14 karat yellow gold and silver, which was typical of the time. In this exquisite pair, round cabochon moonstones are framed within a twinkling frame of floral blooms, accented by hand-cut, Rose-cut diamonds. During daylight, the adularescence of the moonstones is a lot more evident and that shimmering, ethereal sheen comes out to play, truly setting them apart from nearly every other gemstone on Earth. They measure 1 and and 3/4 inches long (including the wire at the top) by 3/4 at its widest point and the tops were converted more recently, so they are suited for pierced ears.
It is hard to believe they have survived 200+ years. With its elegant design and the calming properties that moonstone provides, this antique pair of earrings is sure to make a fabulous addition to your collection!
