Unsigned Boris LeBeau Diamond Hoop Earrings c1980

The ultimate gold hoops- bold, elegant, and diamond-lined! A sculptural take on a classic– these earrings were custom-made by true artist Norman LeBeau, of famed Madison Avenue LeBeau Jewelers, and Boris-Lebeau. Originally a painter, LeBeau studied jewelry making in Paris and went on to open his own successful boutiques starting in the 1950s. He used his skills as an artist to create commissioned pieces of wearable and miniature art in fine metals and gemstones, winning numerous international awards. To this day his pieces are sought after, and highly valued. This remarkable pair came to us from a collector of LeBeau's earrings and though they are unsigned, they exhibit the same quality and craftsmanship and were confirmed to be custom-made for them.

Around 2 carats of near colorless F-G color grade, VS clarity grade full-cut diamonds add sparkling elegance to the simple, yet substantial hoops. Made of rich, heavy 18k yellow gold, these earrings feature the finest clip-on backings– strong enough to hold the weight yet comfortable enough for all day wear for pierced and non-pierced ears alike. We are happy to add a post for extra security on pierced ears. Each earring measures just under 1 1/2 inches at their longest, about 7/8 inch in diameter, and the fronts are just under 1/2 inch wide. This incredible pair has an appraised value of $12-15k.
