Georgian Revival Diamond Earrings c1880
We cannot resist the enchanting aesthetic of Georgian jewelry... and neither could the Victorians! Entirely handmade around 1880, this pair of drop earrings features a sparkling array of rose-cut diamonds. Each is set in a closed-back clawed collet setting inspired by Georgian-era jewels. A single row of these glittering stones create a droplet-shaped dangle that hangs freely from a simple hook in each earring. A gold flower hangs within each droplet, atop a dial of diamonds that fills the center, adding articulated motion to the earrings. The lively dangles dance with their wearer, enhancing the diamonds' sparkle and bringing these antique earrings to life. The old-cut diamonds are magical in low light and most brilliant in the romantic, flickering candlelight they were made to shine in. Adorning the ear with dreamy, antique allure, these Georgian Revival earrings remain gorgeous in any and every light!
