A 19th century marvel! This remarkable innovation from 1854 houses both a pencil and dip pen! Bard & Brothers made some of the most sought after pens and nibs of the era. Today they are a rare find and highly regarded by fine pen collectors around the world. This exemplary writing instrument features a fully functional pencil and dip pen, its nib beautifully hallmarked and dated by Bard & Brothers, A.D. 1854. The pen's crown is set with a gorgeous flat, round agate stone that is half rust red and half white with subtle bands near its edge where a hint of the red stripes begin to emerge.
