Antique Belcher Diamond Ring
This antique beauty is distinctly American in its style — this claw-like setting, known as the 'Belcher', was created by designer Thomas Belcher!
The style is defined by prongs cut right out of what was originally a flush mounting! This maintains the security and lower profile of the flush setting while allowing more light to flow through the diamond, giving it a more robust brilliance in a rich, bold setting. This one is unique for the deep valleys on its sides, which add elegant curves that accentuate the warm gold tones and perfectly frame the stunning late Transitional-cut diamond.
