Deco Diamond Lavaliere Pendant c1920
This stunning lavaliere pendant exudes romance! The lavaliere style pendant was made popular and named for the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of Louis XIV of France, and refers to a drop pendant. Today we refer specifically to the filigreed drop pendants we see from the late Victorian, Edwardian, and early deco periods. They are beautiful in their petite size and intricate, delicate detailing, and this one is no exception with its floral accents, romantic lacy metalwork, and glittering diamond touch.
This 1920s lavaliere pendant is set in platinum atop 14k yellow gold with a .12 carat transitional cut diamond graded near colorless G grade and VS clarity grade. It measures about 1 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. The chain is not included, though options are available here, and many more in our shop, please inquire!
