Georgian 22k Chandelier Pendant
Nearly pure, solid, yellow gold, shines bright through its two-centuries-long history in this incredible late Georgian era pendant! It was fashioned around 1830, when gold was in short supply– before the gold rush. The shortage had a huge influence on jewelry of the era, as is expressed here in its light-weight character. Though parts of the piece are hollow, and the 22k gold it is made from can be quite soft, it has very minimal denting and wear, especially considering its age. The gold has a beautiful patina, showing off its antiquity, while remaining warm and bright. The most significant dent sits on the top-most portion, near the bale, and can be seen clearly in the photo. It is fairly unnoticeable when worn, as it sits to the side and not head-on. It truly is a remarkable piece that is sure to add its unique beauty to wearers for another two centuries to come! The pendant measures 2 3/4 inches at its longest from the top of the bale. The gold rope chain is not included– please ask about our many chain options.
