Bezel-set and applied to the band, the sapphire gleams mysteriously, its closed-back setting accentuating its deeply dark hue. A single gold bead on either side of the sapphire breaks up the highly polished band, perfectly contrasting as each catches the light. A lip on either edge of the band comes up almost at tall as the beads. Here, evidence of patination is most prevalent, creating a shadow effect that complements the fathomless gem.
