The six-prong solitaire setting was first introduced by Tiffany & Co. in 1886 and went on to become the most classic engagement ring choice in the 20th century and still reigns iconic today. It was the first setting to raise the stone above the band to maximize its brilliance. This fine example (not produced by T&Co.) features a white gold mounting and a yellow gold shank, giving us the best of both worlds. The white gold prongs allow the diamond to show off its near colorless clarity and the yellow gold gives off a rich warmth that beautifully contrasts the diamond.

This 1.16 carat transitional cut diamond dates to the 1920s and is GIA certified (GIA Report #5222489527) as a G near colorless grade, SI1 clarity grade. The ring is set in 14k gold and is currently a size 4 1/2. It may be easily resized up or down upon request.
