.91 Carat Transitional-Cut Diamond Ring C. 1930s
Cut around the late 1930s, this antique ring centers a .91 Carat Transitional-Cut diamond — a creatively proportioned cut that bridges the Old European and Modern Brilliant cut-diamonds. Their faceting allows for a larger table, shorter crown and a barely-visible culet, resulting in their unique, kaleidoscopic sparkle! They represent a very unique time in history indeed, as they are a rarity only produced for about 15 to 20 years!
The center diamond is EGL-Certified and graded H color and SI1 clarity (Report # US 400167620D), and it is framed by a marquis-cut diamond and a bezel-set transitional-cut diamond on either side. They total about .16 carats and they are beautifully matched and graded a G-H color and VS clarity grade. The setting was built by hand in platinum and it also dates to the 1930s, with sleek details that lend a unique elegance to this ring's profile, followed by a comfortable band. This antique ring is currently a size 5 and 1/2 and easily resizable. Please inquire.
