Old European Diamond Gold Filigree Solitaire c1910

Old European Diamond Gold Filigree Solitaire c1910

A filigree fairy tale! Filigree work, or lacy metal work, is most commonly found in handmade platinum from the 1920s. Though commonly requested in our shop, fine filigree work is not common in yellow gold. This romantic Edwardian ring makes dreams come true with its light yellow gold filigree setting! The gold's rare, seemingly fine and delicate details are as sharp and solid as they were over a century ago when it was made, elevating its stunning old European cut diamond within a crown-like basket. Six small prongs rise from a white gold scalloped bezel that accentuates the diamond's brilliance, mimicking its radiance and creating the illusion that the bezel is part of the seemingly larger diamond! Every detail adds to its elegance, from the sweet scrolls that climb the filigree sides like vines, to the band's sophisticatedly thin, tapered shoulders, this solitaire is meant for the happiest 'ever after'!
