Diamond Watch by Elgin c1946
Refined glamour and classic elegance defined midcentury fashion and stunning yet tasteful timepieces perfectly encapsulated the style of the era, as exemplified by this gorgeous watch by fine American watchmaker Elgin! The watch, made in 1946, is set in a world-class handmade platinum slight tank-style case flanked by diamonds at its top and bottom. The glittering stones elegantly link the dial to the watch's glamorous lugs and strap. About 1.80 carats in total carat weight of fine near colorless G grade, clean VS clarity grade diamonds shine throughout the timepiece and its sparkling strap. As Elgin was known for fine-tuned timepieces, the watch features a 19 jewel mechanical movement in excellent working condition. We guarantee the movement for a year in which we will service the watch at no extra charge and thereafter will only charge to recover the wholesale cost. The watch's serial number is L339793. It's case measures about 1/2 inch square and its strap is fit for a small wrist, about 6 inches. There are options to extend or shorten the strap, please inquire.
