Nearly 200 years later, this band continues to exude romance with its beautiful floral carvings and details. It was handmade in the 1830s in 14k rose gold, and still has an empty space for a signet, as only one wearer took to making it their own by engraving initials on the inner band. The engraving reads "H.L.G". There is an enigmatic hole (as pictured next to the lower right corner of the signet) that we believe is clearly intentional and original to the piece, though we can only guess at its purpose. Perhaps it was connected to a bracelet by a chain there, or used with a jump ring to be worn as a pendant. It makes a gorgeous wedding band or a lovely keepsake for any day, or everyday! It is 8 1/2 mm wide and, coincidentally, a size 8 1/2.
