Old mine cut diamonds were cut right there where they were mined and each one is a little different from the next– making this traditional ring one of a kind! The GIA certified diamond has a total carat weight of about 1.01, is an SI1 clarity grade and an M color grade. Its color grade indicates visible pigment, which in this case is a golden hue that is complimented well by its gold setting. However, the color disappears in natural light, making it more of a G-H grade. This phenomenon is common in antique diamonds, as they were exposed to more radiation closer to the surface of the earth where they were mined.
