The natural wonder of an organically cut old mine diamond meets human symmetry in this deco beauty! The 1.25 carat diamond was cut in the early to middle 19th century, right in the mine, to a faceted shape similar to the diamond's natural form. It was cut for its inherent beauty, and as such, it retains the unique beauty of a snowflake or a fingerprint– no other diamond is quite the same! It contrasts beautifully with its 18k deco setting, made around 1930. The deco era exalted geometric and often symmetrical designs, exemplified in this mounting's side diamond blocks and open square links to its shank. The stunning center diamond is a near colorless I grade, and a clean VS1 clarity grade– certified by GIA. The four side diamonds are single cut, G color, VS clarity and total a carat weight of about .20. The ring is currently a size 6.5 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
