The loveliest lavender-hued amethysts glisten throughout this exquisitely detailed gold memorial pin-pendant from the Victorian era. Each amethyst is backed with foil, a common practice in the Georgian and early Victorian periods intended to enhance a gem's bright reflective sparkle. The foil lends a chrome-like sheen, accentuating the amethyst's watery glitter. They adorn the buckle-style brooch in elevated bezels while the 'belt strap' is intricately detailed with etched flowers and flourishes. Milgrain beading patterned around the buckle's ring add glowing texture as snake chains drape from the strap like a silky tassel, its fringe soft to the touch.
