1920s Handmade Platinum Diamond Square Halo Ring
This square halo setting has been popular in contemporary designs, but this one is the original, made back in the 1920s! A .65 carat transitional cut diamond sparkles brilliantly in the center. It has a near colorless G-H color grade and a VS clarity grade. Twenty-six diamonds surround the center stone in a square halo, flanked by an additional three on either side along the shoulders of the setting. They are all single cut and are also near colorless G grade and VS clarity grade. The setting is handmade platinum, which gives it the absolute most integrity, as it was carved from a solid block. Today, platinum is cast, making it porous, and halo rings are 'micro-set' leading to a lifetime of replacing the smaller stones that fall out as the platinum slowly reforms to fill in tiny air pockets left through the casting process. With this ring, you get the same beautiful look, with the integrity of a handmade piece that is sure to last another century! Currently, the ring is a size 5 and may be easily adjusted upon request.
