1930s Two-tone Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring

1930s Two-tone Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring

A culmination of all the pretty things in jewelry from the late Victorian era to the late deco era– an antique, cushiony old mine cut diamond, geometric deco design, and two tones of gold! This 14k ring was certainly made in the 1930s, when combining yellow and white gold was in fashion, and deco style was still a heavy influence in jewelry designs. However, the center diamond is a very old, oval shaped old mine cut from the 19th century. It was most likely a family diamond that was reset in the 1930s. It has a high near colorless F-G grade and SI2 clarity grade and weighs around .38 carat. The six side diamonds are all single cut and add another .12 in total carat weight to the ring. The details are simple, yet make the ring special, giving it a unique silhouette. The ring is currently a size 6 1/4 and can be easily resized up or down upon request.
