1940s Oval Cut Diamond Platinum Ring
A brilliant oval cut diamond gives this classic 1940s ring a look to set it apart! Oval cuts are known to appear larger than round cuts of the same carat weight without losing much brilliance. They are an exceptional cut with incredible value for this very reason! This stunner has a carat weight of about .71 though it looks like a whole carat! It has an incredibly high E colorless color grade. Oval cuts can sometimes have a 'bowtie effect', or a darker bowtie shaped middle where there is less faceting. This one's is very minimal, helped by its high color grade and its excellent cut. Its clarity grade is I1, due to a couple of visible inclusions right in the center of the 'bowtie'. These actually work to further mask the bowtie effect as they reflect light. Three small glittering single cut diamonds are bead set onto each milgrain edged side, totaling a side diamond carat weight of about .12. The setting is handmade of platinum. The ring is currently a size 6 1/2 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
