Look sharp in this stunning scimitar and dagger chatelaine brooch! This is an excellent example of sterling silver costume jewelry that was made during World War II. All of the other metals were being used in the war effort. The silver has a pink gold wash that has faded beautifully, giving it a subtle charm. The stones are all beautifully cut glass and the cobalt blue is especially dynamic. It looks great worn on a suit or dress near the shoulder as they did in the 1940s! To give an idea of scale, the scimitar is about 3 1/2 inches long, the dagger is about 1 1/2 inches long, and the shorter chain is 5 1/2 inches long when taut.
