Handmade around the early 1960s in Yemen, this striking heart brooch is finely handcrafted using twisted metal wires, openwork patterns and granulation, all set in yellow gold with hand-applied details abound. The brooch features a juicy pear-cut garnet cabochon at its center, with additional garnets and turquoise carefully bezel set around it, as if floating over its delicate filigree. A thin scalloped edge borders the whole piece, finished with wire-wrapped pearls dangling below. It has aged beautifully with lots of patina and it can still be enjoyed for many more years to come!
