2.39 Carat Old European Cut Diamond Ring c1950
The association between love and diamonds is an ancient one. Look up into the night sky and see how Venus sparkles and shines brighter than any star. She shimmers, entices, calls us into relationship with the heavens. The ancients derived much of Venus's meaning from this visual display, and associated it with diamonds as they carried the same alluring brilliance. Thousands of years later Venus remains deeply associated with love and beauty, and perfectly fitting– the anciently associated gemstone is exchanged as a token of everlasting love. This bright antique 2.39 carat old European cut diamond is a shining tribute, cut in the early 20th century and set in a 1940s-50s handmade platinum mounting. The diamond is an M color grade and VS2 clarity grade. Tapered baguette diamonds perfectly complement and extend the diamond's captivating light, matching its warmth with a J-K color grade and VS clarity grade. The center stone is certified by EGL USA. This ring is currently a size 5 3/4 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
