Description: This Russian niello belt comes from the city of Tula and dates to the turn of the century. The detailed work of this piece is exquisite, all the chased carving is done entirely by hand. The closure is held in place by a tiny dagger. This piece is truly a work of art, representing an amazing amount of time and work by the artist whose initials are engraved on the back side of the buckle.
