Art Deco Burmese Ruby and Diamond Cocktail Ring c1935
An Art Deco dream! This stunning early 1930s cocktail ring encapsulates every elegance jazz age jewels are revered for– glittering glamour, cleanly delineated design, dynamic dimensions in handmade platinum, an alluring gem, milgrain edges, artfully cut diamonds, and rubies perfectly fit to accent the entirety of the ring's beauty. Centering the piece with its striking beauty and rich raspberry red hue is a AGI certified unheated Burmese ruby, weighing about a carat. On either side is a transitional cut diamond, a unique cut only of this era, each weighing about .60 carat and boasting near colorless G-H and H-I color grades and clean VS1 and SI1 clarity grades, respectively. Full-cut diamonds sparkle throughout, all finely matched in high cut and color grades, adding around .50 carat in total weight of diamonds to the ring. Natural rubies are calibrated specifically to fit the design, perfectly bordering the three large stones. Each stone is finely bead-set, keeping the original stones in place for the past century and likely lifetimes to come! This rare beauty is what Deco dreams are made of, and one of the finest cocktail rings we have had the privilege of offering! It is currently a size 8 and may easily be resized up or down upon request. The ring measures about 14 millimeters at its widest point, for scale.
