Belle Epoque Old Mine Diamond Pendant c1910
La Belle Époque, or the beautiful era (1871-1914), produced jewelry that was truly deserving of the namesake– and this is among its finest examples! ‘Whiplash’ curves and naturalistic shapes characterize this stunning pendant, dating it to around 1910 in the tail end of the Art Nouveau aesthetic movement. The diamond-studded shapes are beautifully complimented with open cut-outs that give the pendant a light, airy quality. Though delicate in appearance, it is set in the strongest handmade platinum over 14k yellow gold. Sizable, brilliant old mine cut diamonds make up .60 carat in total weight and boast near colorless G color grades and VS clarity grades. Glittering rose cut diamonds add an additional .30 carat in total weight and are all G grade and range in the VS to SI clarity ranges. A natural pearl completes the stunning piece with a soft drop. The pendant measures about 1 1/4 inches at its widest and 1 1/4 inch long. Chain is not included, please inquire or schedule a virtual appointment for price and additional chain options.
