Look closely at the garnet in the center of this midcentury ring and admire the unique cut of its center stone– facets carved into the gem are patterned like a compass! The square stone is bezel set with its corners pointing in the cardinal directions while three round cut garnets are prong set on each edge creating a halo of twelve stones. The 14k gold ring features simple carved banding where the shank splits to frame the centerpiece perfectly. The ring is currently a size 7 1/4 and may be easily resized up or down upon request. It was made sometime between the 1950s and 70s.
