Brutalist Fire Ring c1970

Brutalist Fire Ring c1970

Brutalism on fire! The Brutalist movement of around 1970 found beauty in unusual forms, inspired by the rougher parts of nature. Where other naturalistic design movements focused on the soft, rounded curves of flowering plants, brutalism drew inspiration from the more rugged parts of the earth: the bark of a tree, its knotty roots, the face of a rocky cliff, or even the flicker of a flame! This exemplary 14k ring, made around 1970, is incredible in its execution of the style. Its diamond-cut design creates an animated look that allows the fire to spark between matte, textured, and glossy surfaces. Though characteristically bold, its flush design makes it comfortable and easy-to-wear. The ring is currently a size 8 and may be easily resized up or down upon request.
