Georgian Natural Pearl & Garnet Ring
A rare natural pearl is the centerpiece of this gorgeous Georgian ring from the early 19th century! Natural pearls have always been and remain a rarity, even as the cultivation of pearls in the 20th century has helped make pearls more accessible. This beauty was crafted long before, in an era where gold was also scarce– it most likely adorned the finger of an aristocrat or even nobility! The pearl has a rich iridescent white luster characteristic of natural pearls with thick layers of nacre. Handmade in bright 15k yellow gold, the setting boasts deeply carved flourishes that define the pearl's bezel and adorn the band nearly all the way around. Garnets add a warm red glow to either shoulder while a tiny rose cut diamond flickers at the center of the pearl, all completing the ring with antique charm.
