Georgian Chalcedony Earrings

Georgian Chalcedony Earrings

Georgian enchantment! This exquisite pair of chalcedony earrings was made around 1830 during the Georgian era. Each features a translucent white chalcedony stone cut into a conical cylinder and adorned with ornate gold details. Scrolling branches and acorns elegantly climb the wide base of the stone as it tapers to the top of each earring where round cabochon chalcedony gems are centered in the boldly decorated studs. Long, flat gold panels hang from the round base of the dangles while a gold sphere drops from its center, creating a playful fringe that gleams with movement. As light shines through the chalcedony, their shimmering, opalescent quality glows with a mystic sheen unlike any other gem! These enchanting statement earrings are a rarity from the Georgian era, surviving as a complete pair for nearly 200 years! Their ethereal allure is timelessly beautiful and is certain to be treasured for years to come!
